Ashen Forest

The woods after the burning. Green pine needles cling to charred bark, birch smoke hangs heavy in the mist, and the earth, damp, mineral, alive with petrichor, drinks the ashes of what once stood tall. Cedar weeps its sweet mourning over blackened stumps, while moss creeps slowly across the ruins.

This is not destruction, but transformation: the forest remembering itself through smoke and soil, through the quiet work of decay and regrowth. Walk here in the grey hours. The ashen trees bear witness still.

• Once the candle has burned through, clean the mug and keep using it

When these three are gone, Ashen Forest is gone. Burn the candle. Keep the mug. Let the forest linger.
